Shiite Muslims – a people God is pursuing to be Jesus’ Bride

Many of us who join you in loving God among Shiite Muslims want to thank you for fasting and praying during Ashura, Jan. 21-30, 2007. Today, let's thank God together for demonstrating His awesome power among Shiites.

Be assured that our collective prayers were heard by the Lord of heaven and earth, and that He is actively continuing to work among Shiites in ways that defy human explanation or understanding.

There is an openness to the Gospel among Shiites that rivals seasons of great revival from the past, and we want to shout - get ready for more miracles from God as He continues His pursuit of Shiite Muslims!

A few believers in a Shiite community have asked followers of Jesus to come teach them God's Word, and their first house meeting will be this Friday!

In one neighborhood where some of us live, TWO Shiite families are following Jesus together now. Entire families are giving their allegiance to Jesus -- it's just what we asked God for - Shiite FAMILIES who follow Jesus!

Shiites in multiple neighborhoods are welcoming followers of Jesus who have been going on door to door visits recently. Followers of Jesus in many areas where Shiites live (in more than one country, city, or village) are being welcomed in Shiite homes, and believers are having opportunity to pray with Shiites and tell them the Good News of Jesus.

In one strong Shiite area, several Shiites have revealed that they have been following Jesus for years, but don't yet know and meet with others like them. Pray that this will change, and that Shiite communities of faith in Jesus will begin to spring up and thrive all across the world where Shiites live.

Please pray with us that Shiites who are followers of Jesus will not be afraid to gather together in houses and communities of faith. Ask God to show them what their house churches need to look like, what their communities of faith need to be, based solidly on His Word and His unique purposes for them.

Continue to pray that many more Shiites will come to know Jesus in these days, and ask God to continue to display His awesome power in Shiite community after Shiite community here on earth!
