Shiite Muslims – a people God is pursuing to be Jesus’ Bride

It was in the middle of Ashura. A Follower of Jesus in Europe received an invitation to speak about the Sufferings of Jesus to a group of 100 Shiites. He said YES!
A few days later, at the end of Ashura, there he was, standing before 100 Shiites and 100 Jesus Followers, speaking on the Sufferings of Jesus. He began with Isaiah 53. He talked about Jesus' rejection, the atonement, and about His sufferings on the cross. He emphasized the love of God for humanity in all that Jesus suffered. He declared the call for Followers of Jesus to take up their cross and follow Him.
After the Follower of Jesus spoke, the community's Shiite scholar began his presentation.
The Shiite leader spoke of belief in God, the miracle of human life and birth. Using a laptop with a digital projector, he showed various sayings of Jesus and focused on Jesus' words, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." The Shiite leader then said to the crowd of Christians and Shiite Muslims present: "You who are Christians and you who are Muslims need to heed this and do it."
The Shiite leader then turned to the Psalms and sang portions as a sung meditation. He sang a refrain and encouraged Christians and Muslims alike to join in. The words were "Oh, God, you are my Lord, make me Your beloved."
In the words of the Follower of Jesus invited to speak that night: "The evening was quite remarkable!"
During the recent Ten Days of Prayer and Fasting God called us to, do you recall some of the things we asked God for? We asked and are continuing to ask Him:
THAT BELIEVERS IN JESUS WILL STEP OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONES TO REACH MORE SHIITES.
Praise God for this Follower of Jesus in Europe who said YES to the invitation to speak about the Sufferings of Jesus among Shiites, and for the other Followers of Jesus who were there, ready to talk with Shiites about Jesus.
THAT SHIITES WILL HEAR, UNDERSTAND, AND TELL THE STORY OF JESUS IN THEIR HOMES AND IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
Praise God that this group of 100 Shiites heard about the Sufferings of Jesus from someone who knows and loves Him. Thank God that they heard Jesus' sayings, many for the first time.
THAT SHIITE RELIGIOUS LEADERS WILL ADHERE TO THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS, AND THAT SHIITE COMMUNITIES WILL EMULATE JESUS AND FOLLOW HIS TEACHINGS.
Praise God for this Shiite Leader who knew the sayings of Jesus and wanted to tell others. Thank God that he told everyone present that they should do what Jesus says! Thank God that this Shiite Leader sang the Psalms and invited Shiites and Christians to sing, "You are my Lord, make me Your beloved."
To God be the glory, GREAT THINGS He has done. GREAT THINGS He is still doing. Keep praying for Shiites, dear friend!
